Habib-tea at Tania’s Teahouse, Dubai

{Sippin’ v. aesthetic tea in Dubai}

As many of you know, I moved to Dubai, UAE this month. Coming from a foggy San Francisco Bay Area 60F summer straight to a scorching 115F glittering oasis has definitely been an adjustment. But, I’m excited about exploring new places in this intriguing city and am enjoying waking up to the sight of two green parrots outside my window!

The other day, my sister Devina and I checked out the most #aesthetic café ever — Tania’s Teahouse, just down the street from us on Jumeirah Road.

Always down to brunch!

While doors opened just a couple months ago, it’s no surprise that Tania’s Teahouse is already considered one of the most Instagrammable cafés in Dubai. Just one look inside at the hues of millennial pink, gold and marble tones makes you immediately understand why this café is entirely grid-worthy.

I am such a ma-tea-rial girl

Décor also includes whimsical plants, Drake fandom and a spiral rose-gold and marble stairwell covered with frames of playful flamingos, pink lions and witty tea-related humor for all the ma-tea-rial girls out there!

hey hey

To my foodies, don’t worry: I haven’t forgotten you amidst all my photo-curating! Tania’s Teahouse turned out to be a great place to bring people with dietary restrictions, as they have a wide array of gluten-free and dairy-free options and are able to customize drinks to accommodate with soy and almond milk. The menu offers delights ranging from quick bites like “Cake Batter Krispies” and colorful macarons to a classy 3-tiered high-tea platter called the “Jumeriah Jane/James” for a lengthier catch-up with a friend.

Is this enough of a “blogger” pose?

We also adored the lyrics, jokes and caption-ready menu-item names. For anyone who knows me, I was tempted to get a well-suited coffee for characteristically-tardy me called “Better latte than never,” but instead gave in to my love for chocolate tones with “Livin’ la vida mocha.” Here’s the gorgeousness that showed up at my table. Isn’t this caffeinated art?

“Livin’ la vida mocha”

Given my undying love for all things tea, I was a strong fan of the merchandise. I’ll post some more faves at the end of this post (#willtwerkfortea).

I’ll definitely be visiting Tania’s Teahouse again soon (can’t wait to try their famous Mermaid Toast!) In the meantime, let me know if you found a place in the Dubai area that you want me to check out next 🙂 Keep exploring! xoxo #nikitalyfe
