{Thanks so much for inviting me to check out JLT’s Opening Night, Tall Tales Production!}
In honor of the UAE’s Year of Tolerance and back by popular demand, the cast of “Just Like That” will be performing their award-winning show at the Junction Theatre this weekend, from Thursday April 18 to Saturday April 20 2019.
Set in modern-day Dubai, Just Like That – or JLT – is an original script written by Dubai residents, Manju Ramanan and Asad Raza Khan for the people of Dubai. JLT promises an insightful look at the cultural pulls-and-pushes that go into coexisting in this cosmopolitan city’s multicultural community. Directed by Priyanka Johri and assisted by Vaishali Balgu, Tall Tales Production‘s hit comedy draws us into the lives of various residents from different parts of the world living in an apartment building in Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT).

Characters include an Emirati writer, a British businessman, Lebanese flight attendant, a South Indian security guard and finally an ethnically ambiguous investment banker. I can’t wait to find out how these characters clash or come together! The cast list includes: Imah Dumagay, Eric Dury, Christina Papachristou, Asad Raza Khan, Layla Kardan, Medhat Mustafa, Suraj Sadeesh, Maha Husain, Paurav Shah and Sid Abbas many of whom are well-established within the local theatre community.
Tickets are available on PlatinumList UAE starting at Dhs. 100. Just Like That was nominated for the Best Live Performance of 2018 alongside La Perle, and won several awards across the city. I’ll definitely be there with my friends on Opening Night and I look forward to hearing what you think of the show when you catch it this weekend.
